I have seen what a .243/6mm will do to deer and it aint pretty. I wouldnt hesitate to shoot a deer of any type/body size with a .240Bee, .243 or 6mm. If you have had bad luck with a .243/6mm, I would suggest a different bullet or putting the bullet in the kill zone.
